My Softball

I started playing softball when I was 14 years old. Up until today, I am active in the sport playing ball for Strandfontein Mets Softball Club.

I have really found a home in this club and the sport created a wonderful outlet for various things. We have 2 senior teams and 2 junior teams and we are currently involved in a youth development programme trying to activate the youth in the community.

To donate to our youth development programme, please comment below or inbox me.

In 2008 I volunteered to serve on a committee to organise the National Provincial Championships. I eagerly accepted the challenge and worked with a number of competent individuals from not only the Federation, but also from the City of Cape Town.

In 2011, Cape Town played host to the biggest softball tournament the country has ever had the privilege of hosting the IX Junior World Women's Championship. Along with a competent group of individuals with no prior experience of running international events, we managed to stage on of the best events by far.
